Stigmatodon is a genus in subfamily Tillandsioideae of the bromeliad family, separated from Vriesea in 2016. Around 20 to 30 species are known, all endemic to Brazil, where they grow on bare vertical granite of Atlantic Forest inselbergs and on rocky outcrops of the Espinhaço Range. The genus is named for its tubular, fringed stigma and differs from Vriesea in its stamens arranged in two groups of three and in the mostly night-opening flowers. Cultivation is limited to specialist growers.
