A terrestrial bromeliad originally described as Cryptanthus sanctaluciae by Leme and Kollmann, named after the Santa Lucia Biological Reserve in Espírito Santo where it was discovered. Transferred to Rokautskyia in 2017. The species was found growing saxicolously in association with Selaginella and Anthurium on shaded, humid rocky walls within the Atlantic Forest. Distinguished from the closely related R. roberto-kautskyi by non-zonate leaf undersides, a distinct scape 11-15 cm long, and shorter sepals. Endemic to Espírito Santo state.
