Native to Honduras, growing epiphytically on coffee and mahogany trees at about 1,200 m elevation. It has been recorded near Gracias and in the area around Juticalpa.
This species is distributed in Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro states, Brazil, growing epiphytically in moist mountain forests at elevations of 700 to 1000 m. The specific epithet honors its discoverer, Roberto Kautsky.
Ranges from Panama to northeastern Brazil, growing as an epiphyte in forest from sea level to 900 m. The type specimen was collected at Paramaribo in Suriname.
This species occurs in Bolivia, growing as a terrestrial plant in rich open places at elevations of 900 to 1800 m.
