Native to Cochabamba in Bolivia, where it is known from the area between Tarata and Capinota. It grows on rocks at 2,560-2,600 m elevation.
Native to Colima, Guanajuato, Jalisco and Michoacan in Mexico, growing epiphytically in tropical deciduous and oak forests at elevations of 680 to 1,850 m.
Occurs in Cotopaxi, Tungurahua, Bolivar and Chimborazo in Ecuador, growing terrestrially between 2400 and 3000 m in gorges, along roadsides and on the clay walls used to divide fields. The species is named in honour of Nancy Groves.
